Summer is perhaps the most pleasant time of the year to spend time in nature. Do you want to sleep under a glass roof or in the open air? Do you like protection from the elements or do you like to open up completely? We have made sure that your stay in nature is as comfortable as possible.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Even though the temperature can really soar in the summer months, the forest location fortunately provides a bit of coolness. Make sure you know in advance what summer weather to expect and prepare accordingly. Whatever the weather, start your adventure well prepared with the following tips.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

BARE FEET<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Make the most of going barefoot as much as possible during your stay. It brings you even closer to in nature by being directly connected to it. If you don\u2019t want to walk barefoot outside the cabin, bring sandals with you so that you can easily walk in and out of the cabin.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n

TICKS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Whenever you have spent time in nature, it\u2019s a good idea to check there are no ticks on your body or in your clothes. Bring a pair of tick tweezers with you, just to be sure. Don’t forget to check the hairline, ears and neck. If it’s a peak tick season, stay on the paths as much possible, wear closed shoes and keep your arms and legs covered. You can also use DEET on exposed skin.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n

MOSQUITOES<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If mosquitoes are around, there is a mosquito net in your cabin that you can wrap around the bed. Make sure you use a good insect repellent containing DEET, especially at sunrise and sunset.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n

SWIMWEAR<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Bring your swimming gear for a cooling dip in the natural pond at Charme Camping Hartje Groen, located right next to Holenberg. During you your stay, you can use all the facilities at the campsite.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n

SUN PROTECTION<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It is important to protect yourself from the sun’s UV rays. Choose sun cream with an SPF protection factor, drink plenty of water and wear protective clothing if you prefer. Going exploring? There are refillable water bottles in your cabin that you can use, so you can leave any plastic water bottles at home.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n
