Your stay is during the cold and dark days of the year; a time when nature switches gear and falls gently into hibernation. Your Cabin ANNA is equipped with a woodburning stove, a warm feather duvet, hot water bottles, woollen rugs and even warm socks. But please note that staying in the winter is a bit more adventurous.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

You may need to turn up the heat at night, and you may want to take a warm hot water bottle to bed too. We recommend you wear your slippers and wear several layers of indoor and outdoor clothing for maximum comfort. WARM ON TOP<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A warm hat is essential. It should not only cover the head, but the ears and neck too. Also bring a good pair of gloves in case it gets really cold.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n

WOOLLEN SOCKS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Wool is by far the best material when it comes to choosing warm socks because it keeps your feet warm even when your socks are damp. Warm feet are essential to keep your whole body warm.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n

MOISTURE TRANSFER<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The layer closest to the body should absorb moisture. Choose wool or a wool blend. A fleece, preferably windproof, is an excellent mid-layer.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n

SLEEPING<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For night in Cabin ANNA, we recommend wearing thermal underwear, warm socks and a hat. To be on the safe side, it’s a good idea to bring an extra fleece jacket or something similar. It’s important to wear several layers made from breathable materials that allow good ventilation of body heat and avoid perspiration.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n

LARGER SHOES<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Choose shoes that are slightly larger than you would normally wear, so you can fit extra socks and\/or insoles. This will keep your feet warm for longer. Warm feet are extremely important for keeping your body warm. You can lose a lot of body heat through your feet.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n

WIND PROTECTION<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of the jacket is to provide protection against wind and rain in combination with the outer layers. The material should be breathable and allow easy movement, for example Gore-Tex. An extra down jacket, thick fleece or woollen jumper works as an effective extra layer for keeping warm.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n
