When do you find peace and quiet at Holenberg?
For many people, peace and quiet are an important factor to optimally enjoy nature. At Holenberg we also strive to offer each guest as much peace, quiet and privacy as possible during their stay. The Holenberg forest for example is only accessible to guests of Holenberg and the staff will not come within sight of your ANNA during your stay, unless you want them to.
Holenberg is located at the outskirts of nature reserve the Maashorst, where during peak season and on weekends, many people enjoy the impressive primal nature. Is peace and quiet an important factor for you to choose a stay at Holenberg, then choose a stay outside the popular periods. The questions and answers below offer a good indication for finding peace and quiet during your stay.
Holenberg is only accessible to guests of Holenberg. Guests of Charme Camping Hartje Groen, as well as guests from the outside are asked not the enter the forest. The Holenberg staff will not come in sight of your ANNA during your stay unless you ask them to. People who are curious about how ANNA looks up-close, can admire ANNA on the Vlinderidylle, located at 300 meters distance from Holenberg. If wanted, you can ask about this at the reception or De Boshut.
At Holenberg you can spend the night all year ‘round. The high season runs from April to September, during weekends and school vacations. In 2021 the May vacation runs from April 23 to May 16. The summer vacation runs from July 9 to September 3.
The quietest days are in low season, roughly from October to March. You can walk for hours in the Maashorst without seeing anyone. Also during high season there are considerably less people in the nature reserve and around Holenberg on weekdays, especially in the weeks prior to and after a school vacation.
On weekdays in the low season (business) parties can use the facilities of the campsite. During the low season, De Boshut and living room 't Hart can only be booked until 8pm and the nearer Barn until 6pm. Guests who use either of these rooms know that they are not allowed to play amplified, loud music there. In the evening after 10pm we strive to have peace and quiet throughout the property, but Hartje Groen is not a silence campsite.
Nature loves to surprise you. The most memorable moments always occur when you encounter them unexpectedly. Still there are moments in the Maashorst that really stand out. Step into nature in the early morning and discover how magical the landscape can be. Around sunset nature is overwhelmingly beautiful as well! On a clear night, look up and marvel at how majestic the starry sky looks. Spotting the large grazers always is an extraordinary experience. Also the nature gems, the Wijst areas, and the Koningsgraven (the King’s Graves) are beautiful sights.
Even though Holenberg is located in a quiet area, you may hear people in the vicinity. We strive to create as much peace and quiet as possible in and around Holenberg but cannot fully guarantee peace and quiet during your stay. The above should therefore mainly be seen as a guideline from our experience for the moments when you can best find peace and quiet but is no guarantee.
