Holenberg is the entrance to the Maashorst, the largest nature reserve of Brabant. The area is mostly visited on weekends or during holiday periods. Even though Holenberg is located pretty tranquil, it may occur that you will hear people in your surroundings. If you’re looking to find complete peace and quiet, then choose a stay during weekdays or outside high season. Find more information about peace and quiet at Holenberg here.
The various ANNAs are spaciously laid out in the vast Holenberg forest. Thanks to the dune structure and planting, during your stay you’ll experience a great deal of privacy. In addition, the Holenberg forest is only accessible for guests of Holenberg itself and during your stay, the staff will not come within sight of your ANNA, unless you ask them to.
Each ANNA is provided with a double bed, a small kitchen with a stove, handmade recycled tableware of Cor Unum, cutlery, and cooking utensils. In addition there’s a Jacobus Kook heater, in the new ANNAs you can also cook on this heater. All cabins have a spacious bath in the floor. The new ANNAs have a mezzanine, which offers space to sleep for 2 children from 5 years and up and a separate shower and toilet inside the cabin. ANNA Origin is suitable for a maximum of 2 persons and has a toilet and shower in separate units next to the cabin. All comfort has been thought of to offer you an optimal stay:

During the winter period, ANNA and the Maashorst are a magical combination, but the experience isn’t suitable for everyone. During cold winter days it’s possible to heat up the indoor temperature to around 20°C. In wintertime we have extra warm blankets, but the cold remains part of the experience during a winter stay. Are you an adventurous person and would you like to start the day with lighting up a fire, then a wintery stay would be perfect for you!
All ANNAs are situated in beautiful forestry surroundings with plenty of privacy. One difference between the ANNAs are the different arrival and departure days.
ANNA Origin is the first ANNA that is built in Caspar Schols’ search for the perfect cabin. ANNA Origin offers a more primitive experience than the other ANNAs and has an authentic charm that makes an overnight stay extra special.
ANNA collection is our newest ANNA on Holenberg and offers even more comfort.\
ANNA Biesbosch is completely off grid and located in National Park De Biesbosch.

At Holenberg you can spend the night all year ‘round. The high season runs from April to September, during weekends and school vacations.
The quietest days are in low season, roughly from October to March. You can walk for hours in the Maashorst without seeing anyone. Also during high season there are considerably less people in the nature reserve and around Holenberg on weekdays, especially in the weeks prior to and after a school vacation.
On weekdays in the low season (business) parties can use the facilities of the campsite. During the low season, De Boshut and living room 't Hart can only be booked until 8pm and the nearer Barn until 6pm. Guests who use either of these rooms know that they are not allowed to play amplified, loud music there. In the evening after 10pm we strive to have peace and quiet throughout the property, but Hartje Groen is not a silence campsite.
Nature loves to surprise you. The most memorable moments always occur when you encounter them unexpectedly. Still there are moments in the Maashorst that really stand out. Step into nature in the early morning and discover how magical the landscape can be. Around sunset nature is overwhelmingly beautiful as well! On a clear night, look up and marvel at how majestic the starry sky looks. Spotting the large grazers always is an extraordinary experience. Also the nature gems, the Wijst areas, and the Koningsgraven (the King’s Graves) are beautiful sights.
Even though Holenberg is located in a quiet area, you may hear people in the vicinity. We strive to create as much peace and quiet as possible in and around Holenberg but cannot fully guarantee peace and quiet during your stay. The above should therefore mainly be seen as a guideline from our experience for the moments when you can best find peace and quiet but is no guarantee.
