Bat excursion
As dusk falls, the bats in the forest become active. During this excursion, you’ll go in search of these fascinating nocturnal creatures. They are not immediately visible, but you can hear them using a ‘bat detector’. This device converts the ultrasonic sounds made by bats into frequencies we can hear.
The excursion starts with a presentation, followed by a walk through the forest and the idyllic surroundings. Whether you’ll be able to spot bats depends on the weather. In cold conditions (most likely from October through April) and during rain, the bats unfortunately remain hidden.
